A core discipline of my practice is the design of visual identities. I think of visual identities as a kit of parts—a system for creating a comprehensive brand language. At the core of this system there is almost always a logo of some sort, a visual shorthand for the larger organization or venture.

Whether the logo is a symbol, a monogram, or a word mark, it’s goal is always to be as distinctive, memorable, and clear as possible. In addition to these core goals, my approach attempts to condense information and space, to simplify form and communication, and to infuse the logo with as much story or content as possible.

When successful, the result is an invaluable cornerstone for any business, organization, or venture.
